Now there are so many options in metal finishes and these can vary drastically between manufacturers creating either an opportunity to be creative with mixed finishes or a challenge to match perfectly.

Designers most often choose to match the shower fixtures but a newer trend uses mixed finishes like combining gold tones with Matte Black features. Photos online never accurately depict the true tone of the finish so it is important to match physical hardware when at all possible. Shower Doors of Charlotte has hardware samples available in our showroom or our team can meet you onsite with samples during a free onsite consultation.
Seeing the samples in person is very important when you are working with the gold toned hardware finishes. We offer over 15 different shades of gold ranging from polished brass to satin brass to Vintage brass and warmer tones like brushed bronze which is an excellent match to Delta Champaign Bronze.
Keep in mind that there are lots of hardware finishes but not everything is available in every finish so handle and hinge options may be limited on some selections. Availability for handles, towel bars, robe hooks and hinges vary based on the hardware finish. However, there are fairly several standard finishes that are easy to match like polished chrome, brushed nickel, matte black and polished nickel. These are fairly universal, easy to match and handles are widely available. Other finishes like satin brass, brushed bronze, unlacquered brass and oil rubbed bronze are readily available but some selections may not be available and the exact tone may vary by supplier. Next, we have our Boutique finishes like Rose Gold, Gun Metal, Matte Gun Metal, French Gold, Vintage Brass, Modern Gold, Dark Brushed Bronze, Brushed Brass, Brushed Gold, and Medium Oil Rubbed Bronze. Many of the boutique finishes are limited to only a couple handles but our team is here to help answer any questions.
